I'm Shopping for My Honeymoon in Mallorca—All These Things Deserve to Come With Me
After our wedding got a bit too exciting thanks to a tropical cyclone that stranded us all on an island, I'm extremely happy to report that the forecast for our upcoming honeymoon in Mallorca is looking delightfully uneventful: 80-something and sunny every day, classic summer weather for this happy little spot in Spain. Like any trip, I'm torn between scooping up some last-minute vacation-ready pieces that I'm convinced capture the vibe (chic and effortless, blah blah, you know the drill) and saving room in my suitcase in case I innocently stumble across some accidental shopping while I'm there.
With the all-too-tempting greatest hits of summer fashion in full swing (leather sandals, excellent raffia shoppers, loads of poplin), I'm leaning toward treating myself to just a few things that feel a little special and are versatile enough to wear both beachside in Spain and in New York when I drag myself back to the city. Here's everything I'm eyeing for my Euro vacation.
Aussie brand Matteau is always my first stop for summer.
Just a fun little set of beaded bracelets that tell everyone you're on vacation and not taking yourself too seriously.
Satin footwear is a whole thing this season, so these minimalist thongs are a great little nod to a trend if trendy isn't really your thing.
Everyone's favorite eyewear collab.
Extremely into beaded sunglass chains, as I'm also extremely into not losing my sunglasses while stepping onto a boat.
Tried these on in-store and *highly recommend*.
I also tried this on in-store, and I have a very good feeling about it being this trip's perfect day-to-night dress.
One little pair of heels will be plenty—I've been into a kitten heel of late, but I'm going to need something a little more cobblestone-friendly.
Large enough for a day's worth of crossword books and towels and snacks.
It's always the cheaper sunglasses that you never scratch or lose (so make sure they're cute).
A very Euro-vacation shade of green. (Bottoms linked here.)
If I don't snap up a pair of sporty rope sandals before I go, I'm very confident I'll cave while I'm away.
Teen dream cord necklaces are where I'm at this summer.
This dress with a slicked-back bun is just really speaking to me.
The search is on for some fun gold earrings to rival the anchovies I bought from Lisa Says Gah last summer.
Okay fine, if we're going to talk about luxe raffia totes, let's just do it.
One-size swimwear makes my brain break (I mean—how?), but I have so many friends who swear by their Hunza G bikinis and one-pieces that I'm dying to try.
Another excellent Australian brand that really gets the vibe.
