Jenna Ortega Made Steve Madden Shoes Look So Expensive on the Red Carpet
Jenna! Jenna! Jenna! Suppose you repeat this actress's name three times in a row. In that case, you're in for a treat—major style inspo from the reigning queen of moody, morose teens. Recently, Jenna Ortega attended a photo-call in Mexico for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, where she gave her usual Wednesday Addams look a glamorous glow-up with an archival Vivienne Westwood dress and Steve Madden shoes. While this film isn't a crossover, it's safe to say Ortega's characters could share a wardrobe. (Wouldn't it be wild if the Addams family and the Deetz family lived in the same universe?)
While the sparkly draped dress certainly captured our attention, Ortega's custom Mary Jane heels made us do a double take. According to a press release, the custom footwear was inspired by director Tim Burton's aesthetic, and the corset-like lacing and black reptile texture paid homage to the iconic Beetlejuice snake from the original 1988 film. While Ortega's exact shoes aren't available for purchase, they certainly have us thinking of ways to incorporate edgier-looking Mary Janes into fall 'fits and upcoming Halloween costumes.
Whether you're a Wednesday Addams wannabe or Lydia Deetz die-hard, we're pretty sure we've found a pair of Mary Janes perfect for either character's style. Keep scrolling to shop high-heeled Mary Jane shoes that go with everything from goth glam to posh prep.

The platform and buckle make these Mary Jane heels practically perfect.
These sold out in my size during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but I still want to buy them at full price.
The buckles look cool, but a zipper is clearly more practical.
