I don't know why exactly, but I can't help but get excited when I start to notice a fashion trend pop up everywhere from my Instagram follows to my favorite stores. It's likely the fashion editor in me that leads to this satisfaction and an absolute want to share the trend with anyone who will listen. This winter, one particular detail began to pique my interest while perusing some of this season's chicest offerings: contrast stitching, especially a bold whipstitch.

The renewed interest in contrast stitching seems to have come onto the scene some seasons ago thanks to the iconic Toteme scarf-coat, but recently I've been spotting the stylish detail on a variety of winter staples. Though it's a simple touch, the stitching somehow manages to elevate every single sweater, jacket, coat, and scarf it's incorporated into. Scroll on to check out 30 incredibly chic pieces with contrast stitching at a variety of price points, along with some outfit ideas to get you inspired.
